Bismuth colloidal pectin is a new colloidal bismuth preparation. It can protect gastrointestinal mucosa, kill Helicobacter pylori directly and stop bleeding. It can promote ulcer healing, improve inflammation and reduce the recurrence rate of ulcer. The mechanism is that colloidal bismuth pectin has strong colloidal properties. Colloidal bismuth pectin is a kind of bio-macromolecule pectic acid which replaces the small molecule acid radicals in bismuth preparations, such as carbonate, nitrate and citrate, so as to enhance the colloidal properties of colloidal bismuth pectin and form high-viscosity sol in acidic medium. The colloidal bismuth pectin has a strong affinity with the ulcer surface and the inflammation surface. It can form a strong protective film on the gastric mucosa surface and enhance the barrier function of the gastric mucosa.
