Obeicholic acid: A semisynthetic goose deoxycholic acid, a specific agonist for the X-receptor derivative of farneyl ester. Animal experiments have shown that it improves IR and reduces liver fat content.
Mechanisms of action: It has good anti-cholestasis, anti-inflammation and anti-fibrosis effects. Baicholic acid is a Farnesol X receptor agonist, which indirectly inhibits the gene expression of cytochrome 7A1 (CYP7A1) by activating Farnesol X receptor. Because CYP7A1 is a rate-limiting enzyme for cholic acid biosynthesis, obenzolic acid can promote the synthesis of cholic acid.
