The anticonvulsant mechanism of carbamazepine is still unclear, which may be related to its ability to increase the inactivation efficiency of sodium channel, restrict postsynaptic neurons and block presynaptic Na + channel, thus limiting the release of action potential of presynaptic and postsynaptic neurons, blocking the release of excitatory neurotransmitters, and reducing the excitability of neurons to achieve anticonvulsant effect. The mechanism of anti-peripheral neuralgia may be regulated by Ca2+ channel.
